Youngblood, Tyler & Associates, P.C. is currently seeking a Survey Party Chief to join our Mechanicsville, VA office.
Salary Range: $45,000 – $58,000
Actual salary will be based on skills & experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Oversee day to day Field Crew operations
- Oversee & train individuals to operate total station, level, GPS & data collectors
- Establish & set point on house stake out & construction stakeout projects (curb & gutter, drop inlets, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, waterline, structures, etc.)
- Conduct daily maintenance & up-keep of instruments
- Provide clear and concise field notes including sketches
- Ability to work as a single crew with robot or as a party chief
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum two years of experience as a party chief
- Trimble Robotic & TDS software
- Valid Driver’s license (with good driving record)
- Ability to collect field data in an organized, neat & professional manner for various boundary, topographic, design & construction staking projects
- PLS/SI preferred but not required
- AutoCAD and GPS experience a plus
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lb. of equipment over all types of terrain (All-weather year-round outdoor work environment with seasonal extreme heat index and wind-chill factors. Other physical attributes of the job include: hiking, climbing & vegetation management such as chopping, cutting, hammering, sawing, etc.)
